Little Tokyo Galleria – Los Angeles, CA
The goal of this project was to rejuvenate an existing out-dated shopping center located at the heart of the Little Tokyo area. Since the budget was very tight, the renovation area and methods were intensively studied. Special lighting design and dramatic changes focusing on major circulating nodes, such as entrances were implemented as viable solutions. New ADA restrooms were also constructed to comply with current requirements. Viniegra & Viniegra also designed some of the wall art and tile work along with the selection of the dramatic lighting fixtures which emphasized traditional Japanese style.
